Oil Pan

What kind of pan is everyone using on SBF's? I have a Canton Drag Pan and cannot get that thing to stop leaking. I know lots of people have had this issue, so I'm looking for another alternative. I might just end up putting the stock pan back on since it's primarily going to be a street car now, but if there is something that works and will perform better I might consider it as well.

Nothing is wrong with the stock pan, I wanted to continue to free up some HP with an aftermarket one like I have if possible.

Where is it leaking from ? I know of tons of people using cantons pans without any issues at all.

i use canton pans, never no issues, i use the blue gasket and silicone on the ends. make sure the rail on your pan is straight.

I know canton LT1 SBC pans had porous welds for a short period, many years back, since that was fixed, have heard nothing but good things

That's exactly how mine is in, but it leaks at the rail (only on the pass side that has the access plugs). I think the access plugs with less bolts is hurting me or it's not straight, but I'm not sure I want to try and fix it then take the chance with putting it back on. The other side/ front and rear is fine - only the the side with the wrap around built-in crank scraper. Are you running the same kind?

no mine does not have the access plugs. it has the rail all the way around.

Some of the canton pans call for a cork gasket and the one piece rubber will not seal. I switched to the Moroso it has a much thicker rail and holds it shape better.
