what do shops usually charge to replace this? does anybody here do side work, and would replace it, and how much, leaks slightly, but when i tilted my car on a jack to put 22's on it, it came out alot.
It's pretty labor intensive to replace, I've done mine twice this summer. I'd also like to know to compare it to spending an entire weekend doing it.
Depending on the condition you may have better luck unbolting the pan and RTV'ing the area where it leaks. I think most service procedures state remove the engine or unbolt and lift about 4" in the bay.
