Official '12 Tigers thread

I searched and couldn't find a '12 season thread yet.

So, predictions? Who is going to opening day? Season ticket holders?

I'll be at opening day. About 10 rows up between home and 1st base. We plan on tailgating in the parking lots off Woodward just north of I75. I have tickets to 9 games already and we'll probably see another ~10 or so.

I think they'll do well this year. I think Cabrera will surprise people at 3rd, and I think we'll win the Central. Beyond that I won't make predictions yet.

I have my tickets ordered here at the Trop against the Rays. Unless I'm in town over the summer, those may be the only games I see (that matter). I might still see a couple games down here in Lakeland.

It'll be the Tigers walking away. They really are looking good. I'm waiting to find out which pitchers gave up the 7 runs against the Phils today in the 6th and 7th innings.

The only real concern I have is the defense. That infield will be challenged.

the bullpen scares the shit out til u get to benoit and papa grande. Who cares about defense when your gonna be out scoring everyone you play! They wont be winning close 2-1 games more like 8-7 type games.

They just need Jackson on base as much as possible. That guy is lightning fast. Let the big boys bring him home.

They had an article in the paper about that yesterday or the day before. Leyland saying instead of playing that last game Jackson would be taking 50 bunts and then after that it was 50 of something else in the small ball realm.
