I don’t post much, but I wanted to let everyone know of a race coming up this Memorial weekend. The Traxxas TORC (The Off Road Championship) series is coming to RedBud MX track in Buchanan, MI. In the past couple years, most of the races have taken place in northern Wisconsin or out in California. I race a 1600 buggy (air-cooled VW based)... so I am excited that they are finally within a couple hours of Detroit. Along with our "sportsman" classes, the PROs will be out too with their 900+hp Pro2 and Pro4 trucks. Names like: Ricky Johnson (MX fame), Sam Hubinette (Drifter), Rob MacCachren, Scott Douglas, Johnny Greaves, Casie Currie, etc will be there among others.

You can go for the day, or camp all weekend for a NASCAR type experience (party). I hear the MX races are pretty wild there. Anyway, please let me know if you have questions about the race.
PS: RAM trucks just announced their involvement and they want to bring a race to "inner city Detroit". I don’t have any other details on that, but it could be interesting. Belle Isle? State Fairgrounds?
