A friend of mine has a 2003 Dodge Durango R/T and at speeds of 50 mph or more the door ajar buzzer dings constantly. Anyone know how to fix this issue or know how to remove the buzzer? Also, from time to time the headlights stop working and if you disconnect the battery and reconnect, they work fine for a few weeks, then it happens again.

Thank you for any suggestions

Found the problem. :headscrat

Kidding, searched google for a couple minutes on both problems and couldn't find much. Maybe browse Durango forums.

I had a similar situation with my 02 Dodge Ram dome lights going on and off while driving, headlights and/or running lights not working. After weeks of frustration looking for the problem I took it to a dealer they found the problem to be the main electrical block under the hood. It cost me $75 just to get that info. They wanted $850 to fix it and leave the truck for 3 days. I ordered the part (my dad’s discount $485) got it the next day and it took less than an hour to replace. After inspecting the original block I found that some of the connector terminals had corroded and could not be fixed. It would be very easy for your friend to remove his main electrical block and look for corroded terminals unless the block is unreachable. Hope this helps.

After some searching, it appears that it is the Central Timing Module. It seems common on these trucks and is about $500 to fix.

Thank you for the suggestions.
