O2 sensor question

My 99 TA has the SLP loudmouth setup and no cats....so.....my SES light is on. Could I just plug a resistor in the plug and it would turn off? If I could what Ohm rating would I need? Not high or low but right in the middle. I know it's kind of cheating the system but it has to be better then the car reading nothing at all. Plus it will turn that damn light off.

Why wouldn't it? I don't know dick about O2 sensors but someone told me that they go off an Ohm reading.

Give me 2 minutes and I'll go check if it has bungs still. The guy I bought it from said "The cats are removed and the plugs are tied out of the way"
 
Nope, no bung..... If there was one and I put a sensor in it wouldn't it still read out of spec and throw on the idiot light?

s-10 guys have had good success with those "spark plug anti foulers" from the auto parts store, they come 2 to a pack, the 18mm ones are the correct thread, screw them together, drill it out as needed to fit the o2, and screw it into the pipe, this slows down the response time of the rear o2, which keeps the PCM thinking the cat is still in place and working

nope, just the heater part, the sensor itself produces voltage(0-1 volt)
