i work for a manufacturing company in sterling heights 14 mile and mound/vandyke area. break ins in cars and even shrubs and trees stolen from the property doesnt really shock me anymore despite it being a fairly good area.
that is until yesterday.

so when i came into work yesterday our maintenance guy was on the roof which is nothing too uncommon , except he was working on the security cameras . so when he comes down i ask whats going on, to which he tells me we're stepping up security. the reason : sunday night a neighboring factory was the victim of theft. what did they steal? the transformers from the side of the building. the thieves chained them up good, hooked on a tow truck and gunned it til the sparks stopped, then loaded them up and were gone .
seriously what idiot does this shit :no: and y do more of them not get fried? if our transformers were stolen it would easily shut us down for 2 weeks . 85 machines running making $65-$175 a hour 23 hours a day,

i seriously hate people
 
they steel the eletric wires off the pole and phone line one guy tried to cut a high voltage wire with side cutters blew his arm off
 
shit load of copper in those transformers and the housing are aluminum.

we left some big 4x4 1inch steel slats out in our parking lot, were no big shop and some one took it, old rusty iron thats worth maybe 10 bucks...

we set up security cameras as well now.

x2, its gonna get worse before it gets better. All security cameras are going to do is stop the suburban thieves, your not going to stop the guy thats driving in a stolen vehicle

Crack heads will do anything...

There newest trick... They will cut trees to take out the power lines and then steal the lines...
