As stated above......

I just picked up a 2002 mustang GT 4.6L 5 speed.
Car is stock besides flow masters and cold air intake. I absolutely know nothing about this engine or what makes it go fast for cheap like a 8.2 deck. Any insight would be greatly appreciated . Thanks

4 valve swap. Or turbo it from on3 they make great power with boost. Those motor really dont respond much to bolt ons. A rear gear, bullet intake and maybe some n2o

I have an 04 with a procharger pushing 8lbs and comp cams270 and bolt ons(headers, exhaust, etc) run low 12's on street slicks, stock block, if I were you supercharge it and see if you like it and if you do then decide what how far you want to go with the rest....If you are ever in the Monroe county area and want to go for a ride...let me know

Yes, sadly as stated above.....The only real smart way to make any power on the 2V is power adder......boost......I mean you could do all the bolt ons, but you will be disappointed....... Boost, gear, good tune. tires.....you will have not have a rocket, but a respectable car for the street and track days.

Awesome man. Sounds like a plan!!

lol IF you plan on going blower......Don't worry about that fuel mileage!!! If you are going for Mileage get something 4 banger and turbo!!!!

The 2v are only good for about 400RWH in stock form. If you build the block you can get much higher. From what I have seen building a 2v will cost you as much as it would to get a 4v and build that. I also have a 2V and debating on what direction to go. I have most bolt ons, 4.30 gear, and suspension. Its good for low 13's or high 12's depending on the driver and track prep.

I want something faster. I have been researching the 4v swap and throwing boost at that.

You'll have to boost it to be happy no way around it. Blot on's for 2v's are a waste of money. I've had a couple different set-ups on my 2v. 125 shot with gears and some drag radials is probably the cheapest way to make it fun to drive. If you've got more money boost it. The stock blocks are fine with good internals. I currently have an aluminum block 2v that makes 560 to the tires on 14#'s. It's a fun car and runs high 10's at 130mph.
