Nonstop Flight to SRQ ?

I can't count how many times I've flown into Sarasota (SRQ) over the years and never had a problem getting a nonstop flight.

Now I'm trying to book a flight and I can't find one friggin airline that offers non stop service. Is this just airline cutbacks or something?

NWA routes you through Atlanta on a Delta flight, United routes you through Charlotte, US Air and Continental criss cross the moon to get you there.. I just don't get it.

Does anyone know of an airline offering direct flights these days ????

I hear ya. I am going to San Antonio and there is NO morning flight non stops for any airline. So now I am forced to Memphis for a 2 hour lay over - NWA BITCHES and a 6am take off....

Damn. Have to leave on the 2nd as it's a family thing.

I'll try Orbitz though for my next trip. Probably heading down to South Beach once the real snow hits.
