Nitro R/C guys

I'm a complete newb to nitro r/c's. But it looks like a fun hobby so I was thinking of picking it up. What kind of car should I start with? What do I need to start? Figured you guys could probably answer 99% of the questions I might have. Thanks!

buy a rtr traxxas truck, perfect starter rigs, what do you want? monster truck,buggy ,onroad, stadium truck, truggy?

and when u break shit every fucking hobby shop has their parts

if ur just gonna bash in the backyard get a tmaxx/revo/slayer

Yeah, it would just be something I take out and screw around with. What's better a truck or a car? I like the look of the cars :lol: But I could see a truck being more rugged and less expensive maybe when it comes to upkeep? What does a good nitro r/c car and/or truck cost?

cars are for on road only and trucks can go anywere,


upkeep is gonna all be the same, and for a good truck starting from 350-500

traxxis tmaxx 3.3 is my favorite. its also what i bought. they are fast especially if you have never driven a nitro rc car. they can jump, drive over everything, reverse, electric start w auto glow plug. and the parts are everywhere.

(makes a tmaxx look small, about the same size as the CEN monster)

2. traxxas slash

awesome basher

3. bolink digger little red wagon edition

pretty obvious why i got htat

4. tamiya tt-01

5. XTM x-cellerator

6. team losi micro desert truck

I got a Rc10GT Plus RTR, Traxxas Revo 3.3 and a HPI RS4...all Nitro and i love my Revo... that thing is the best TRUCK i think out right now...

I prefer gas over electric anyday...I hate having to deal with charging and discharging batteries...plus there are expensive as hell for the good ones.

A gallon of fuel for $20 and it lasts forever.
