Still waiting on the V, but it just made sense to get something to drive in the winter when another set of wheels and Blizzaks would have cost me as much or more than this beast

It is a lot rustier than the picture shows, but the frame is solid. The tires, while lame, are really good, lots of tread, no weather cracking, along with the matching spare wheel and tire. Has a Borla stainless header and stainless catback. No idea how many exhaust systems fell off it before the guy went that route.
The primary details. It's a 4.0L with a manual. So I figure nothing to worry about there. Mileage is a mystery, original odo quit, was replaced, and that one quit. Whatever, it's a 4.0L manual, it'll run forever.

A 4" lift including new springs, shocks, t case drop, other necessary associated drops, real complete deal, is only $450. After the Torino is done next summer it might be getting lifted if I can find some good used 35's and swing a pair of lockers and gears from driveline solutions.

I found it on craigslist. I had been checking it pretty obsessively for a couple weeks trying to find a 6 cylinder, manual, 4 wheel drive, Ranger Based Vehicle, S10, or Cherokee/Wrangler for < $2500. I saw it right when it came up basically but didn't actually email (phone number wasn't listed in the ad) the guy until the next morning, went and looked at it after work Wednesday, gave him a deposit and picked it up last night.

My question is how bad does it ride? I had an 87 that was stock height and it rode TERRIBLE. Felt like it was on wooden blocks instead of springs.

Yeah, it's definitely not the best riding thing I've ever driven. From reading a little it sounds like they ride way better lifted.

Cool, I just bought a 92 wrangler from texas to drive this winter. Body is rust free and has 238,000 miles on her.
