I thought Dodge had cancelled these ? I had no idea they were redesigning them.. I think I like it. Cept for that front end.

I think it looks great - everything but the front. IMO, this is much cooler than the ZR1 (not a Corvette guy).

I think it's pretty sexy looking. I went for a "Hot Lap" ride at the proving grounds in the last body style before they ended it. The baddest thing I have ever rode in! I don't think the speedo ever dropped below 100 the whole way around the road course. We actually blistered the tires on the car running it so hard. Totally kick ass! I hope this one is similar in performance.

Thank the car gods that it looks like they've fixed the problem of selling a high performance exotic with the interior of a $15k car. Can't wait to see one in person now!

The original plan for the Viper was a no bullshit, all race, performance car. Looks like its turning more into a luxury/exotic thanks to the Fiat/Ferrari guys. I think its ugly, hopefully this will make the 2006-2010 models cheaper so I can buy one someday.

I have always been a Viper fan. It's hard to believe that the original lump of a motor only put out 400 hp. 640 is more like it with the lower curb weight. And that red paint with red interior. Wow! And I'm not a red car guy. It all just screams exotic. That and it was designed in Auburn hills and made in the D! I'm a fan.

Gotta think though, wasnt the first Viper a 1993? Corvette made 300hp, Mustang made 205hp back in those days lol

'92 was the first year - don't let the "only 400hp" fool you. It had 465ft/lbs to push it around. The Mustang had 225hp back then (215hp in the '94/95 5.0), and I have no idea what a C4 Vette made (again, not a Corvette guy).

I love the old ones due to the sheer manliness about them. No BS attitude. However, in 2012 you can't sell a 6 digit car without the gadgets. I think that by adding all the tech, they've opened their doors to new potential buyers that would otherwise go with something more exotic (european). I think that as the car industry progresses, you have to add the tech to stay competitive.

Yes, the "tech" maybe a necessity considering you get all that in a Fiesta these days. As for barebones, I like the GTS moniker and it's intention.

The "original" Viper was an open top car. Did anyone notice this new car is shown as a hardtop only? Interesting.

Interior finally looks to be where it should be, but I don't like that front-end. At least they are still making the Viper and continue to improve upon on it.

There are a whole host of new videos on Autoblog about the Viper. Fascinating development. I am completely falling in love with that car.
