New state trooper cars

Wow, looks sharp. I still don't understand why the staties keep with the bubble gum light on top. You'd think they'd go with an LED light bar or something too!

MSP cars have always been the most distinctive. If they dumped the gumball and the blue, it wouldn't feel like Michigan anymore.

I heard they keep the bubbles because they're better for gas than the bars. and i believe they do have LEDs in them now.

the bubbles are very distinctive, its their trademark, They are LED but i miss the red beam of justice

I am seriously considering getting a Police Taurus that is a basically a stripped down AWD SHO. I live the wife's 2015 SHO and getting one for me would bee a great candidate for a Livernois Tune and MAF.

My buddy just sold one a few months ago with 28k miles on it, black for $13k. It was from Madison Heights and was used in a pit maneuver and was barely wrecked. He got it, fixed it and drove it for a few months then sold it to a local court officer friend of ours. It was fun to drive for sure.

Place in brighton has lots of used police cars, they sell them for the departments so you can deal direct with the departments and eliminate the middle man mark up.

Whoa, do you have any more info on this place? I'd love to get a cheap cop car without someone else beating the living shit out of it, besides the PD obviously.

That bubble light may be better on gas but its all about tradition. Same with the "stop state police" piece on the hood. It cost twice the money for that bubble gum light than a regular led light bar.

A bubble gum light works on any car, whereas if you change cars with the light bar you have to swap the brackets, etc. So the bubble gums lights can be used longer and swapped from car to car which may make it more inexpensive in the long run.
