slowmontecarlo

I haven't posted here much but figured I would share the progress on a 1972 Monte Carlo me and my dad picked up a few weeks ago. My dad actually owned this car for a very short time back in 1998 while his buddy who really wanted the car could save up the money for it. Once his buddy got the money the car was all his. He had it the entire time up until recently when he decided it was time to let it go! My dad was contemplating on building up a 3800 Fiero but decided on the Monte Carlo hands down!
*This thread is a work in progress I am going to be adding a lot so stay tuned!
The car is a 1972 Monte Carlo. Originial 402 big block and AC so it had some decent options. The originial motor was rebuilt with a mild cam, weind stealth intake and a 750 edelbrock carb.
The previous owner saved up a but load of parts for a new build he was planning on but never got around to it. Well it wasn't long before we bought up the rest of the parts needed and got our asses to work!
Here's some pics for now. I plan to add a lot more, and some info on what was done to the car already, what we did and a little more history...
Well that's all I'm gonna post up for now. BIG THANKS GOES OUT TO 86iroc305 on this project!
the 1972 along with the real slowmontecarlo...
Getting ready for the new cam, lifters, pushrods, springs, valve seals etc.... Most of the parts came with the car!
