New paintjob on the Imperial Cruiser!!!!

The peeling vinyl top was bugging me, so I fixed it. The roof was FUCKED on the driver's side. This whole project was a lot more work than I thought it would be. I just did 100 mph job on it because the cars a beater.

Still gotta go over a few spots, I'm not happy with the way the clear looks. I had the pattern a little round, and somehow you can see a couple stripes. I never put that much clear on anything before in my life!!!!
 
I'm not painting this one. It's just not worth it. Then all the trim will look like shit, chrome, etc. I'll have 8000 dollars in a car that's worth maybe 3000 on a good day. 26's tho.......hmmmm

If you close your eyes, you can see the Pimps up front, Ho's in the back, and the Chumps in the Trunk!!! Go old school, wire wheels, curb feelers. 1 Yellow tinted headlight (looks like you got a Gold Toof.)..

can you even get deep shag carpeting anymore?
 
How hard is it to throw on a flake like that? Take a special gun? I have no clue I just know I LIKE IT! Big flake brings out the little kid in me. I'm needing to paint a car soon and if I had the guts I'd go for it. It's a mid 70's car so anything goes.
 
It's not super hard, just time consuming. I bought a special gun, it shoots the flakes dry onto wet clear. I have about 75 bucks in flakes, plus a lot more clear is needed than normal.
 
Is that back panel/window removable?


Kinda. Imperial Lebarons got a rear window plug and a smaller window than a New Yorker or Newport. I don't know why. I guess only the leBaron model got them, and all LeBarons had a vinyl top. It's a plastic plug that screws in. I just seam sealed the seam, painted it with the screws out, and put stainless ones in with some clear RTV on them so it won't leak.
