New HID's for my car!!!

Got some new Black Halo Headlight housings for my car and a HID conversion (8000k) from a sponsor on LS1tech. The black housing make the car look sinister. These lights are AWESOME!!!!! They light up the road so much more than my stock lights did. They also have an Orange LED for the Halo but I am not done wiring those up yet so I will have to post more pics when I get those working. I did test the Halo's and they look SWEET!!! Enjoy.

Thanks Nick. I can't stop smiling when I drive the car at night now. These things make a HUGE difference! I can't wait to get the Halo's wired up. Hopefully I can take care of that tomorrow after work.

Man does that give your car a different look!! Looks absolutely Bad Ass!! nice upgrade to say the least

Thanks for the compliments. I just can't get over how much better they light up the road. A very worthwhile mod.

Some more pics of the housings and you can see where I mounted the ballasts.

those lights look even better in person! car looks badass with those lights now.
Thanks for being the guinea pig Dave. Dave was nice enough to stand in the road and make sure I was not blinding anybody with glare.

ummmm I just may have to pick up a set for the Grand Am
You can buy the plug & play kit from www.ledgauges.com. They are a LS1tech sponsor and good to deal with. It was straight forward to install, just swap the bulbs, install the ballasts, and plug in the wires. Piece of cake! And then check your aiming so you are not blinding oncoming drivers. Since you would be using stock housings with reflectors there are more chances for glare reflecting off the surfaces than there are with a projector beam.

Yeah, that's what happens when your fingers type faster then your brain is processing....... That's my excuse and I am sticking to it! Thanks for the correction. I fixed it in my original post.:)

Check out the website. There is a link on there to search for your replacement light bulb (Takes you to Sylvania website, I had to go there separately to get the look-up feature to work right). If they carry your replacement bulb, you can order a HID kit for your car. You just need to specify the bulb and color when you order. And it is all plug & play. Easiest and best MOD I have done yet. I actually look forward to driving at night now!

EDIT, I looked up a 99 Mustang (if that is your car) and you would need a 9007 bulb. E-mail Nathan on the website and confirm he has your bulb and if he does, you are good to go. [email protected]

Thanks im gonna go look at em now

Looks good. I put HIDs on the GTO and they're fantastic. I got mine from xenonking.com when they were doing a GP at LS2GTO. If that other site doesn't have one for the Mustang, try xenonking.

Thanks to you too. I still can't get over how much better these light up at night! And it is always good to have a back-up plan. Thanks for sharing the info for another place to get kits.

looks like you finally took the plunge! i love mine...those look sweet!

LEDgauges now makes a kit for our foglights which i'm going to look into in the spring, i got mine from xenonking.com like scooter70 said!

looks nice Tony!...they definatly don't "blind" people like the hypocrits all say, i have yet to have 1 person flash their brights at me with mine...!

Yeah I did it. And shortly after I placed my order those fog light kits were available......DOH! But it is probably better I did not blow all that money at once. I can wait and save. Hell, I won't even turn on my fogs now that I have the HID's! So I guess I will need that kit too.....

I also still have to wire up my Halos. I am dying to see those working, but just have not had time after work to do it yet. More pics when I get them wired up.
