Hey, I just signed up, figured I would make an intro post.

Im Jake. Currently have a 90 Plymouth Laser with the turbo 4G63 motor, 5 speed, FWD :(

Has some mods done to it. NO body/appearance mods, other then tinted turn signals on the front, which I am replacing with the stockers asap.

Here are a few pics

Thanks for the welcome guys, I honestly thought I would be getting at least a lil bit of hate with the four banger, but I guess the fact its not riced out is a plus, haha.

dude that car is not slow my friend had one and he could beat lt1s and non sc cobras. but that was when it was running. so good luck

Ok, well I guess I will spill the beans...

UICP, MAF-T, 3 inch downpipe/exhaust, prothane inserts, Greddy profec-B boost controller, crushed BOV, 2nd gen exhaust manifold, (might be ported), and just 20 lbs of boost. There is prolly more that im forgetting.

But I just tell everyone its a slow 122 CI 4 banger, because it is, right?

haha i wouldnt call 1g dsms slow, as they can be made very quick...i will call them prone to problems and having trans' that are weaker than powerwheels...good luck and its always nice to see a dsm that runs...god knows most of them dont

Haha, so true, runs like a raped ape. The AWD trans are the weak ones, FWD kinda saves em, they dont really have any traction, or the crazy launches the AWD guys do.

leave it to al to always put thing into perspective....lol....:icon_mrgr

You mean, leave it to Al to speak too quickly about something and make a mistake? (see gun thread earlier).

Crankwalk was a problem in 2nd gen DSMs. Not 1st gens. :shake:

Yup, that was an issue with the 2nd gen DSM 7 bolt motors. Not the 1sr gen 6 bolt, or 7 bolt motors.
