this may be confusing but anyways im looking into buying a 90 mustang GT 5.0 the motor was completely rebuilt less than 500 miles ago, the problem is he says that he put the wrong crankshaft in (Eagle #356-103023000) and its too heavy or something and he was supposed to use (Eagle #356-10302300-50) the motor vibrates at 3k rpm or higher he claims as well as other people that if you replace the flywheel with this flywheel from ebay (item # 220400907058) that it would fix the problem is this complete bs or as simple as that.

if he bought the wrong balance crank then your gonna have to change the damper up front and the flexplate to the right weight.

so the dampener and fly wheel will solve the problem i looked into it and basically he bought a 28oz when it needs to be 50oz all of the other specs are exactly the same

it should solve the problem, putting on the right balance. but beware, those bearings in the motor arent likeing that very much. i would stay away from it.

Pass....
Or, tell him to keep the motor if you want it that bad....
If the current owner can put the wrong crank in an engine, who knows what else they can screw up......

Less than 500 miles or less than 5 miles? Because if he really went out and drove that car around with a 28oz crank and 50oz dampner and flywheel, he is probably not someone who is smart enough to rebuild a motor. Also, if he really did that the bearings are probably beat and there might even be stress cracks in the block or crank from the harmonics. I've seen a car put together like that before and the vibration is BAD.

less than 5 miles on the engine, sorry i miss read that when i was posting and the motor was built by a shop foreman i guess they though they had the 28oz flywheel and balancer but realized quickly they did not problem has been fixed in the car and runs fine should i still stay away?
