Need vehicle under $1500

Need a vehicle for a buddy for $1500 or less. Anything from a Focus to a Stratus to a Ranger to an Explorer. Must be domestic and must be pretty reliable. For $1500, he doesn't expect much but he just got a new job and can't have it breaking down on hime all the time. Things like a tune up and brake job are fine but it can't have anything major wrong or expensive (tires, etc). Needs to last him 6mo to a year. What do you guys have?
 
ive gotta 1994 ranger that runs pretty good
body certainly isnt the best
but it gets you from point a to b
good tires
fresh tune up

only thing it needs at the moment is the drive side rear leaf spring replaced

looking for 1100 obo..very open on that price and that includes 2 leaf springs
 
i have a 97 standard cab ranger, two wheel drive 4 banger 5 speed truck for sale. looks like shit but runs great, has new shocks and brakes all the way around. it could use a good cleaning and the blower motor is smoked. asking 750.00
