Hey all. Looking for some help here. I am working on an 87 mustang V8 swap. Car is all together. Only thing left to do is connect all the wiring harnesses , vacuum lines , battery cables/ground wires. I do not have a car to be able to go off of I was wondering if there was anybody in the Detroit area who knows about these cars that can help me get the car complete and running. I can't imagine it taking more than a couple hours. otherwise I have no idea how to get the car finished.

I'm no Fox Body expert, but I'd think that a 4cyl or 6cyl engine wiring harness will be different than an 8 cylinder. Are you keeping it EFI? If you're not, you might not need a lot of the vacuum lines, and the engine wiring would be a lot more simple.

Sorry I don't have more info. I'm sure someone here on Motown Mustangs can help.

He has the correct harness. Just not sure what has to be hooked up and what doesn't. Its been years since I've worked on a Fox.

If anyone could help my brother out it would much appreciated. I couldn't see it taking more then 30-60 min of your time.

Motown Mustang should have a few Helping Hands.. I would be more harm than help.. never had a Mustang

Do you have the harness going through the firewall? And just sitting there waiting for everything to be plugged in? Ground and positive cables are easy. Is it a stock setup? Or trunk in battery? 3g alt?

Yes the harness is connected to the ecm, and through the firewall. just not connected to anything under the hood. I have the solenoid to starter cable connected. battery to solenoid is easy. just not sure about location of neg. cable connection points, and if there are other ground straps from block to body. and have no clue about vacuum. it is a stock set up. battery under hood.
