So I had the pleasure of hitting a good size deer with my Denali Sunday morning, it did quite a bit of damage and I have the feeling it will be totaled by the insurance company. That said I drive 138 miles a day to and from work and am gonna be looking for something more fuel efficient and still comfortable and domestic, probably front wheel drive or awd. What are your opinions?

Are you loyal to any single brand? Are you looking for new or used? 140 miles is a ton of driving, would you go with a car?

Maybe look at a Fusion or Taurus if you want a bigger car. The Escape is small but pretty good on fuel, get a newer model the early DP6S trans caused a lot of driver issues.

im pretty open on brand as long as it’s something domestic, I work for Fca so foreign car parking is far from the door lol. I’m a big guy 6’ 320lb so I do need a little room lol. Don’t want to buy new just to run the miles up and kill the warranty in a year.

Previous gen Impala's (through 2013 or so) are large, comfortable, and get good mileage (30ish). There was a year or two before the new models where you could get the new V6 (3.6 l) in them too. They built that thing forever - I think that body style started in 1998 - so they had most of the bugs worked out if you get a relatively new one.

He won't fit very well. I test drove the Focus ST prior to buying my Fiesta ST and the Fiesta has more leg room up front. In the Focus, my knee and leg kept hitting the center console any time I'd lift off of the gas pedal. I'm only 6' and 185lb FWIW.

Charger/Flex/Taurus... if you get a v6 non sporty model you're going to get a lot of options, a big car, and a low price. They should all get 25mpg on the highway. My neighbors had a flex and a Taurus and they are big cars well suited for his 6 ft 3 260lb frame. Sorry about the dear, glad you didn't get hurt. I just thanked a hunter the other day for taking one out and putting it in his freezer.. I was like..." you just saved a drivers life!!"

4th gen Jeep GC, 5th gen Explorer, or 1st gen 13+ GMC Acadia Denali/2nd gen 17+ GMC Acadia.

Tells you something when a guy who works for FCA doesn't drive something from FCA.

since FCA doesn't make 05 denalis with a lot of miles?? probably why...and the car hes looking for sounds somewhat a to b like a dart or 200, oh yeah they don't make those anymore

my buddy just started at fca the emp lease is unlimited and he has a challenger rt even could've done a scat pack, sounds like a good deal

Lmao, I own a 2018 journey that the wife drives so I’m not against Fca brands, I’ve always been a Chevy man to be honest but I’m open to all domestic brands, and I’m looking at a newer used vehicles 15k or under. It’s literally just a work car being that’s all I do now a days lol. I was thinking about the impala like Geoff mentioned as well. I see no reason to buy a new work car just to put 40k miles on it in a year.

I have a core support/ac condenser/hood (white) 100 bucks for you. Re pop front fenders are 65 ea

For a cheap high gas mileage DD I suggest a HHR.... 2.2's run a long time, transmissions last 300k, chap car to maintain.

for the amount of time you're driving I highly suggest not sacrificing comfort. blood circulation in the legs are vital & if your knees are bent, legs are cramped up, & your kidneys are getting treated like a 1987 game of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out from a harsh ride; ya minds well [imo] write your testament now.

The adjusters coming out tomorrow, once I know what’s happening I’ll let you know on the hood rich, also need a radiator and passenger side head light and grill assembly.

If they total it and you decide you don't want it. Find out what you can buy it back for. If it's in my budget I will throw you few extra buck on top of the buy back price. I could always use a winter truck.

I am not a fan of FCA, but the Dart is without question one 4 cyl. I would buy in a heartbeat.
Just make sure you get the 2.4 and only the 2.4 four cyl. in it.

So I went and got a rental today, 2018 Malibu, it’s a nice car pretty spacious considering it’s a mid size car. Darts are definitely not an option lol. My Yukon gets 12 mpg so just about anything would be an improvement lol.

The Equinox gets good mileage. I just bought a 2014 with 16K on it for $12K. I am 6'3" and have plenty of legroom, even the backseat is spacious.
This weekend when i was driving I had people 6'3" and 5'10" sitting in the backseat behind me.
