I had the kitchen sink in my house re-glazed about 6 years ago, and it looks like hell again. Really, it only lasted about 3-4 before it started to crack. The sink top is actually a 60 or 72" double basin top with dual drainboards. Kinda neat and you don't find these anymore. Hence why we decided to resurface it instead of replace it when doing our budget kitchen remodel.
The warranty for the work was only 1 year, and now the company that did it no longer warranties kitchen sinks. So while they were more than happy to take my $250 to redo it, they obviously know that their stuff sucks.
So, are all re-glazes the same? Anybody know if the DIY stuff is any good? I have an HVLP gun to do the spraying. What other options are there?
I kick myself in the ass for ever having it redone, but since the counter tops and island are in GREAT shape, I don't see myself replacing it anytime soon.
