Need help with police, radar etc

There is newer radar called POP radar that is hard for detectors to detect but I highly doubt any squad car in our area has that. Usually its states like Ohio, Georgia and Florida that spend the $$$ for the absolute latest and greatest in speed detection.

I get pop warnings around my area all the time, now that I have it turned it on.

I didn't think there was POP here in MI either, but the cops around belleville and vanburen have it. and Joe (duke) says by him in new boston, they have it too. thats why he convinced me to turn it on.

passport 8500 FTW!

as far as to why you didn't get a warning, maybe it was POP and you dont have that setting enabled all the time, OR maybe its a slightly older V1 and it needs to upgraded. OR he got you with laser, and the refraction of the beam didn't set the detector off. (yes, this can happen). depends on what he targets, the angle and how far away he is. (its rare tho).

OR, he was pacing you; and using tae newer type pf radar that can detect cars moving the same direction as the patrol car. I forget the exact name atm. OR, he was guaging your speed and yes, a policemans training on estimating speed can be used. so its just a matter of " I could tell he was speeding" and write you a ticket. rare as well, since its so easy to write speeding tickets all day if you really want too.

If he is moving it was not laser ticket, have to be stationary to use the laser. Yes, he could have got you with the radar, it can ne used with him moving towards you, is has a setting for that. Your radar detector should have went off, at least made a noise. And as far as i know the state of michigan has not approved any other device for speed detection other than the radar and the laser, but i am not for sure. If you dont mind me asking, what city did you get the ticket? Good luck fighting it.

We use a mobile radar unit in one of the trucks on base. It is mounted on the dash and the sensors are mounted in the front and back. We can get you stationary, going opposite directions, and going the same direction. Different modes. It has a remote wired to it and it's simple to use while driving. The way we do it is have the device turned on but the sensors off. When a car looks like it's speeding we turn the sensor on and then hit the lock button to lock your speed readout on the screen. It's too late for you if we're tryng to get you but if we target a car ahead of you then you will know on the detector and be safe.

*Never travel in front of a group of cars or alone. You'll be the first target.

a cop said he paced me.... but he was a 1/4 mile behind me and was allready on the breaks before his lights came on and at a complete stop for 15 seconds before he pulled up and he said he paced me going 75/45.... BULLSHIT
