Need help with foxbody pricing

I haven't been following the foxbody market for years now. Recently I've been browsing sites and it seems a lot of junk out there has what I consider a high price tag. Obviously just because it's priced high doesn't mean it's selling high(or at all).

I've been "entertaining" the idea of selling or trading my coupe(since it just sits there) and buying something that I perceive I'll use more. I have no idea what the price point is on these cars anymore. My guess is the survivor cars are selling for a premium and the heavily modded cars are not as desirable.

Any idea of a starting price for my coupe with the below mods.(short list)

84 Mustang coupe, body is solid, paint is decent(it was the last time I looked at it anyway:lol: ) updated with 87+ interior/exterior pieces.
White exterior with gray interior
Weld draglites(still 4 lug) 15x3.5 fronts 15x8 rears with 275/60/15 D/R's and 15x10 with MT ET drag 28x10.5

Engine
69 351w stroked to a 410w, eagle 4340 steel crank, eagle 4340 H beam rods, Ross pistons,(11:1) ARP main studs, Victor Jr Heads etc

Trans
PA Super Comp C4 with Trans Brake
Neal Chance 9” race converter

8.8
3.73 Motorsport Gear
Axle tubes straightened and welded
31 Splined spool

Chassis/Suspension
10 point Chromemoly Rollcage was certified to 8.50(expired currently)
D&D tubular K-member/Arms/Coil over kit with 130lb springs
Lakewood struts/shocks
UPR rear suspension(upper/lower arms, anti-rollbar)

Car went a best of 9.41@143 on the bottle years back when I was actively racing it. My goal was always for it to be an 8 second car(not fast now) but not sure I have the passion to pursue that anymore. It was built for true street type events so it still has decent street manners.(lights, turn signals, wipers, full interior etc...and before it's asked..no it doesn't have a/c or heat)

This site hates me when it comes to posting photos but I’ll see what I can do. Picture a white coupe/notchback with draglites big/littles with a big cowl hood. Should be a picture in my sig. to give you an idea.

I honestly doubt there is enough “value” in it to justify me selling it.

You might be surprised. You can always put together a nice
ad (with excellent photos :nervous:) and try a test run for
a value that makes it worth it to you.

Worst that can happen is no sale. Best that can happen is
someone buys it!

Check out Racing Junk from what you have listed id say 12 to 15k might pull 18 if she's Uber Clean , You an put adds on RJ for Free

My guess its worth $10,000... or you could tame it down, cut out the cage amd enjoy it...maybe a vintage air kit if needed.. Cutting my door bars out after 10 years was AWESOME. Adding a turbo an 2 mufflers was ok but listening to the radio again was AWESOME!!! Throwing some 17's on it was AWESOME...

I saw a loud, lowered, black, notch today with a happy driver. He was rowing gears rolling on some modern 18" looking black rims.. If you were wondering...it looked/sounded AWESOOOOOME!!!

Goodluck!

I personally would follow Autoroc’s advise. I’d make it streetable and have fun with it. I built mine to the gills to race it, but didnt have the drive anymore to wrench on it every weekend and go to the track. I put the rear seat in, welded in harnesses for my three kids and we drive the streets. I’m having a lot more fun with it now. I even put a radio in it with some decent speakers, ( still can’t hear it over the engine) but it’s there. Give it a shot.

Oh yeah...you might even want to throw a $1000 fuel injection kit on it and sell the carb/intake/nitrous to cover the cost. Maybe a smaller cam?

If your smart you will post it up for trade for a 99 Tahoe with high miles and a killer stereo and race exhaust, and make sure to specify you want it to be granny gold lol

No use in doing that....nobody would have something that specific. :)

I've thought about an FiTech or similar, a hydraulic roller cam, cutting the cage out and putting a tremec back in it. I'm just not ready to cut it up.

The answer is to find a bag full of money so this can continue to sit in the garage and I can fund a fun driver. :)

Sounds about perfect! I've always loved these cars. :)
