Need help for a Co-Worker's Son

Without a doubt, one of the best value, most dependable,
cheap & easy to repair, lowest cost to purchase, and newest
car for the money, is a Ford Police Package Crown Victoria.

These are simply the most car for the money I’ve found.

No doubt, I must be a rebel because I do pass that P-71 doing 70 mph down the freeway.

So I had a moment of duh, I told her to ask the shop who has it to make sure the motor is shot. I did ask if it would turn over at all or if it was locked up, I am starting to figure it is due for a timing chain. The wrong oil is in the pan, they put in some 10,000 mile conventional sludge in it but we have a winner.....

You're looking at over 1k in parts for timing/cooling system stuff when it does fail... Not if... But WHEN... And I would guess... SOON... Very soon...

Time for a timing chain and tensioner is my guess.... I will keep you all posted lol

The chain is toast, metal shavings in the timing cover and metal fragments in the oil pan as well. So now it is a lawn ornament with a bank note. I know I tried warning them hard.

You've been the good friend.

When I give advice I state: "you can take some of it, all of it
or none of it". I then walk away. Don't expect much & you won't
be disappointed.
