A friend of mine it trying to find a tool for this and is having no luck. He posted the below statement on the Lincoln forum with no luck. I know this forum can do better.....any help is appreciated.

"Any idea what type of head this is? It is holding the airbag module on my 2001 Lincoln LS. They are located behind the plugs on the back of the steering wheel. Thanks in advance for any help."

looks like airbag locks kind of like wheel locks, if im not mistaken you could get them in the aftermarket and would need a specific key

correct McGuard made them very popular back in the day drill a hole in it and use a easy out

I know it can be drilled out but I don't think that is the route he wants to go since he has been tracking the tool down for it.....I don't know if they all came with this security type bolt or not. I figured someone here would have come across this or was a mechanic and knew when/what tool to use without drilling it out.

As stated, it is not a factory installed screw/bolt. That is the equivalent of the locking lug nut. (Installed to prevent theft.)

Its hard to tell how big that is by the pic? if its for the air bag module I am guessing the size of a smaller screw. I think you can find these type sockets at places like Harbor Freight. Its basically a Torx head with a hollow center. Might even try a Ford TFI module removal tool.
