Need help - 2007 Jeep Commander 4.7 V8 - No start

Need help. Anyone know where I can take this jeep to? I am DONE messing with it myself.
I am at a loss. It's my sons Jeep. Has 105K miles and has had an easy life and with being maintained.

Started with Jeep dying (running off Battery). Put different Battery in. Starts up barely gets me home and in the Driveway.
- Found bad Rectifier on the Alternator. (Had Alternator rebuilt at Marv's in Shelby Twp)
- Re-install rebuilt Alternator. Fully charged Battery

NOW here is where it goes down a fricking rabbit hole!

- Go to start and cranks fine, but no start now.
- Check all fuses and Relays - All good.
- Found bad ground strap from firewall to block and Chassis. Replace both. Clean up all other grounds.

Still Good Crank but no start.
Month Prior I changed the Oil Pressure sensor as it was a leaking oil a little. I read this can create a no start condition, so I gave it a shot and changed that Oil Pressure switch out again.
- NO Change with Oil Pressure Sensor.

- Checked Spark - Got spark but when pulling plug for spark, it was pretty worn and are Original.
- Changed all of the plugs all nice timing and burn marks like it was running good prior to dying.
- Getting Fuel (Don't know PSI though)
- Tried starting with Starting fluid to rule out in sufficient fuel.

- Bought new Alternator as that was the one of the few things that changed.
- No change with Alternator (knew this would be the case on No-Start as battery is charged, but did it anyway)
- For giggles I tried both Key Fobs with new batteries (no change)
- Replaced the Main Fuse Block (TIPM) that has an imbedded Fuel Relay. (NO Change).
- Replaced Crank Sensor (was the biggest Mother Fucker to get out as the original crumbled when trying to get original out)
- Crank Sensor did not change anything.

Ran the jeep on an OBD Scanner: only codes were
Ambient Temp (from having the intake plenum off and unplugged when I put new plugs in)
Oil Pressure Sensor Code.

Cleared both codes and codes did not return.

- Double checked all grounds, all fuses, all relays and NOTHING. Still Good Crank but no start!

Marv's keeps telling me "Maybe" they can get it in next week. Every time I do get through, they keep pushing it out. Not going to tow it there just to have it sit for weeks.

ANYONE have any insight besides burning this thing?

i changed crank sensor a bunch on that hemi grand cherokee we had, it would die while driving, most times, sounds like you probably already tried this.

gosh I always liked commanders

Is that EGR on the bottom? You can try unplugging that too. I say unplug stuff, because if it is messed up, and the car thinks it is working, it could cause no-starts. The cars usually have a work-around in the system if something is unplugged.

Do a compression test, the cam could have jumped time or might have worn lobes.

Could be a clogged cat causing a backpressure issue (I've run into this on an Escape that burned the #1 piston). Try dropping the exhaust at the manifolds and starting it.

You sure the alternator was bad? The EVR is in the pcm. Wonder if it was full fielding the alternator and smoked the PCM

I am at a point where I want to take it in to a reputable place. I work a ton and need to get this road worthy. I have spent way too much time troubleshooting.

Exhaust manifolds look like they would be a nightmare as they are very crusty being a 15 year old Michigan car.

One of the things you mentioned was you tried starting the engine with starting fluid, but did not say what the result of this was. Did it run on starting fluid?

Well if it didn't cough on starting fluid, then it seems to me that you don't have spark. A timing problem would still provide spark just maybe not at the correct time and the engine would backfire or something with ether.

I confirmed I have spark. Now if it's firing at the right time. That I don't know.

Seriously would like to take this into a reputable shop as I am done "guessing".
