Need another PS3 game, suggestions plz..

Ok so I posted about a week ago saying I was thinking about getting Call of Duty 4 or 5 at the time and I ended up getting Battlefield: Bad Company and ARMY OF TWO...and

Army of two is ok but I just dont like it that much. The online is pretty crazy and does not allow more than four people it looks like and it just has to much going on at one time but I'm still trying to give it a chance.

I like Battlefield: Bad Company ALOT and am still getting used to getting my as$ whopped..lol...but I am slowing but surely getting the hang of it. I have never played online before these two games and I like it alot but the whole kicking me off while I was playing Battlefield really pissed me off. I was playing it for like five hours straight last night with only bathroom breaks and I was definitely into it.

So I need a couple more games now. I want one shooter that is good in single player and online and another whatever is good type of game. I'm thinking of NBA 2K9 though.

Any suggestions? What game are you playing a lot right now?
 
i think you would have been happier getting the call of duty games. id suggest four over 5. sports games are always fun but as far as online play goes they just dont have a large community of players and people rarely stick around when they are losing. i would also suggest renting games first over buying.
 
If you want a shooter wait for Killzone 2. It'll be released here shortly. It looks amazing and has some good reviews over at the IGN website. Also if you like fighters Street fighter IV looks very promising as well. I just downloaded the new Resident Evil 5 demo and had a blast with the two levels they have on there. Download that as well to see how you like it. If you want something a bit different try Mirror's Edge in which you play a street runner. Also if you don't have Little Big Planet I suggest you get it because it is such a fun little game. It has a fun single/multiplayer and unlimited potential for new levels. You can make your own or play other people's online. The new metal gear solid is fun if you haven't played it as well. Here's a few Clips.

there is a game coming out called Redfaction Gurrila i thijnk, i was watching a vid for it. you can dystroy everything, shoot walls down blowup buildings all while trying to kill the other team, i played the first redfaction for ps2 and it was one of the best games i have every played.

I played this one as well. I'll have to look up the video for it, I remember it being a pretty good game.
 
Resistance (or Resistance 2)

Fallout 3 (good if you like RPGs...the FPS aspect isn't that great, but the overall game is amazing)

FarCry2

Unreal Tournament

Burnout:Paradise is pretty fun

Little Big Planet is a pretty neat/fun game...a lot like the old side-scrollers and with a large online community (basically a Mario game on steroids where you can also make your own levels and download other people's creations)

Warhawk is a good online flight combat game...probably find that pretty cheap because it was a launch title

Uncharted: Drakes Revenge...great Indiana Jones-like adventure game

Try those out...I've played FarCry2, Resistance, Fallout3, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, and Burnout Paradise (from that list) and I would recommend any of them...out of all of them I would say Uncharted was the best overall because it was easy to pick up and play and had a great storyline while maintaining good game mechanics. You can probably find that one cheap, too...and there's a sequel coming out soon as well.
 
BioShock is another great one...although I played it on the 360, so i'm not sure what the PS3 version is like (if it's identical or what)
 
I am waiting for God of war 3. That is the next game i purchase. But I would agree wtih the COD games, or resistance 2.

I've only played it on the 360 as well. It's supposed to move a lot faster and be a lot more visually crisp on the PS3. It also has "survivor mode" and I think a couple other plasmids. Which is calling me out. I'm going to pick up a copy eventually, but I was tied up in Dead Space. Now I'm on COD5. If a good deal comes up I'm going to jump on it.

It's one of the best games I've ever played.
 
Fallout 3 is quite possibly one of the best games of the last decade. Just amazing all around.
