So I found this Mustang GT that I liked at a dealership today and I went to check it out and talk to the sales person. The car is a 2003 GT with about 45,ooo miles. It looked beautiful on the inside, and pretty good on the outside, besides the front bumper cover not exactly matching the paint on the rest of the car. The guy stated clearly that the car is not modified. I asked him to pop the hood and looked underneath. Well, I noticed that it had an aftermarket intake, and throttle body. I started it up and it definitely had an exhaust setup. I made the comment that the car is modified and he argued that they put the intake on at the ford dealerships. I didn't argue back and just kinda laughed. It was a BBK? intake by the way.
It seems kind of strange that he would argue about the car being modified, which to me wasn't a huge deal. I also didn't like the miscolored front bumper cover. I'm not sure if it has been in an accident or what. I checked the carfax and it doesn't mention anything, but those aren't always accurate to my knowledge.
What do you guys think? No big deal? Shady? I'm just an idiot?
oh by the way, here is the link for the car on autotrader:
