Need a good body guy for my Trans Am

Well, as it always happens. The one day in 4 years of ownership that I drive my trans am without insurance on it (being a weekend and just finishing it up). I get hit for the first time....Sunovabitch!!!

Going down 696 yesterday to enjoy the nice weather and goto my uncles in grosse pointe for fathers day gettogether, some stupid girl in a black g6 decides that since the lane is ending, she'll just go into my lane, and in turn, bump the side of my car...the one positive is that after she bumped me, she swerved off and hit about 5 big orange barrels, which i laughed at!

what i wasnt laughing about though is that now ive got a dent in my rear quarter panel between the door and wheelwell about 6 inches long. I really expected it to be much worse, but I guess I had enough wax on the car that she just kinda slid off as most of the scratches look like they can be polished out.

So now I am hunting for a good body guy, that will be able to match the paint perfectly, (94 Medium Patriot Red Metallic) pull and smooth the dent, and for somewhat of a reasonable cost as I cant claim it on my insurance.

Who Ya Got? I was told of a kid named Allan with a crazy painted Camaro SS that does some good work

Coming from the paint department side of things myself I would be looking for a good "combo" guy if I were you. I would NEVER depend on a body guy to match a color for me lol...

Good luck w/ the search man, Im sure it won't be a big deal it sounds pretty minor.

Willing to drive to Lansing? Talk to White Out about the work my roommate just did for him...

DOH!!!

Whiteout, got any pics? I wanted to see how that thing would come out, it looked jacked

Thats probably something my roommate can bump out w/o hurting the paint....

Man just make sure you hook up with a quality guy. The dent looks like nothing really, very minor.

yeah its not that bad of a dent. I almost wonder if the paintless guys could work it out smooth, the paint is scratched chipped at the jam and the door paint has a crack in it, so its gonna need "some" work. But id like to see what I could polish out on my own

I sent you a PM with phone number to a paintless dent guy who did WONDERS on my black 97 Cobra.

go to jaguar of troy and talk to wayne. i can give him a call and set you up with a good deal and awesome work

pm beau
I would get a paintless dent guy to take the dent out. Most body shops these days marginally remove the dent and bondo over it
