When I talked to you thought you said the main switch was off ? It needs to be on

Just FYI, I think you need to make sure power is off when checking resistance/continuity across the fuse, or pull them out of the loop and check.
If they're installed you'll be getting a jacked up reading of the whole circuit.
What I'd say to do now if you have power is get out your shop vac and get those friends of yours out of there.
Plastic extension on the vacuum cleaner and don't touch anything inside the box.
