Need a divorce lawyer in Macomb County

Title basically says it all..

Been separated over a year, she moved out when I was a stay at home dad and left me with the kids and cleaned out the bank. I've had the kids the majority of the time (60/40) only time I didn't was when I was on a job in Florida for 7 weeks in which my parents filled in my time.
While I was gone there she went back into my home with her friends and had a party, drank my booze, put cigarettes out on the floor. Someone was in my bed.. she took over $5000 in belongings a lot of which were my personal things like watches, my PlayStation from my sons room (bought before we were married)

She then filed for divorce but has yet to serve me, and won't for some reason

She then filed single on her taxes and claimed both kids, I ended up getting ahold of her cpa and he amended it, she had to give 1400 back but will not give me my half of the return, or the things she took while I was gone.

I wanted to do this without lawyers since I can't exactly afford one, but I'm in a position where I feel like I have no choice as I need some guidance on how to move forward

You will need a lawyer...
1) Document EVERYTHING
2) Don't give her a DIME until judgement passes...
3) Sorry to hear...

Wow, sorry to hear. She sounds like a pretty horrible person. You are probably going to be better off in the long run. Generally, all this stuff comes out during the divorce, but you have to be super patient. Like Reiko said, document everything.

If she hasn't served you the papers yet then you might be better off if you filed and served against her.

This...

Also... Have your lawyer ask for EVERYTHING under the sun... Easier to go down in demands then up...

Goodluck. My only advice is to not use the word "PlayStation" and "divorce" in the same conversation. I cant tell if you are 12 or 83 years old. :)

Thanks guys.. lol at the PlayStation comment.. it's actually a PS3, I'm 30 though for what it's worth.

Not worried about her seeing this, she has no idea about the forum.

I've documented everything from the day she left as a precaution

I like the idea of a woman attorney.. makes sense, especially for my situation.

Anyone got recommendations?
