Need a cheap car!! Please help!

As some of you may or may not know, my 04 SVT focus caught fire about a week and a half ago. You can read all about it in "The Pub" section. I'm currently about to sue the dealership for breach of warranty. That being said, I'm left without transportation. Im pretty worse for ware as far as cash up front goes, so I'm looking to spend very little, under $500. I know this may be asking for a lot, but I have no other choices. Unless someone is willing to work out some sort of payment plan with $500 bux down. I work in Dearborn and live in Birmingham, so it's gotta be somewhat reliable, as I put close to 50 miles on it everday. So....let me know what you have or are willing to work with. Thanks a lot!!

My gf has a 1994 4 door, auto, Cavalier for $600. It's rusty but runs and always starts. Brakes were put on last summer and she only drives it while she's home over the summer. It has an overheating problem but I'm 99% sure its the water pump. I looked into it, you can get one at Autozone for $40 and its an 30min swap.

Looks like this but with some rust....
