Narrowed My search down to 3 different car lifts, opinions?

I have 3 different lift models I am looking at. I will buy one of these 3 as after looking at about 20 other lifts, I feel these are best suited for me. I will list the pros and cons for each one and see what your opinions are. This is for personal use in my garage with 10.5' ceilings. I have a Mustang and F150 that I want to use on the lift. My wife will park under it.

The first lift in question is the Eagle Equipment GLO-8000XLT (96" Tall) $2000 (Without accessories )
GLO- 8000XLT Car Lift 12 Positions 8000 lb. Capacity - Eagle Equipment

Pros:
-Price ($1000 cheaper than either Bendpak)
-Company has been around for many years
-Will not have to modify garage door tracking
-No need to run air supply to lift like the Bendpaks
-High lifting height

Cons:
-No ALI certification
-Lifts 1000 lbs less (Not an issue)
-Won't fit out door
-Stationary runways
-Exposed mechanical locking mechanism
-Exposed Lift Cables

The second is the Bendpak HD-9XL (88" tall) $3010: BendPak Four-Post HD-9XL Extra Wide, Standard Height, Long Runway Car Lift

Pros:
-Will fit out my garage door for cleaning vehicle under carriages
-I will not have to modify my garage door tracking
-ALI Certified
-Adjustable width runway
-Air safety Latches
-Long-Term Parts Availability
-Hidden locking mechanism

Cons:
-Only lifts to 67" locking height (larger vehicles can not park under it).
-Lower working height than the other two lifts I am looking at. (Is 67" a good working height?)
-Price


The third is the Bendpak HD-9XW (100" Tall) $3010
BendPak HD-9XW Four Post Lift, 9,000 Lb. Capacity, Standard Width, High Lift

Pros:
-Higher lifting height for working on cars and vehicle storage underneath
-ALI Certified
-Air Safety Latches
-Long-Term Parts Availability
-Adjustable width runway
-Hidden locking mechanism
-79" locking height

Cons:
-Will have to modify tracking to fit lift (Easy, no cost modification as tracking only has to come up 2")
-Will not fit out garage door
-Price
 
as for the 67" height, thats 5 1/2 feet high, for the platform, so the undercarraige will be several inches higher, so, unless yout over 6', it would likely be fine, but you make expect to hit your head occasionally
 
How often do you intend to use it? Do you need jacking beams as well? Do you need the extra width?
 
My car will be stored on it all the time. I can see using it for work on average once a month give or take. I am going to try to make my own sliding jack for the the unit. The extra width isn't a necessity, the length is the most important.

In that case I'd go with the first, cheaper unit, the Bend-Pak may be overkill for your needs........nice to have a cert tho.
 
My selection would be based mostly on a few factors.
1. Is it an operator sustainable unit?
2. Has the ability to expand for options later IF you should want/can afford to add upgrades (Add-ons).
3. Customer Service Support


Based on that, I'd look close at the GLO-8000XLT.
 
i have a direct lift in my garage. it gets used 15-20 days a month. i picked it up new for 1600$. its never let me down and works well. ive had my 8600# excursion up on it and it diden't even flex.

Are you saying that you would look at and potentially buy this lift, or stay away from it?
 
I have only ever worked with Bendpac and Rotary.. They have been pretty solid and fail free. I had a hyd line pop on another lift in high school (dont know what brand) but the car fell until the next set of locks. It had 3-4 students under a car. Shit can be scarey even if you are using the lift the right way.

P.S. look at those welds in the beginning of that vid.
