I bought this truck years ago. Plan was to just get it running good and use it. Now it's getting a full frame off resto. It's a 86 GMC Sierra. Body is in great shape, only slight rust spots. Originally it came with a 305, 700R4, and a 3.08 open diff 10 bolt. Plan is now a 6.0 with 4L80E and a newer 10 bolt with 3.73's and an Eaton e-locker. A/C is getting updated along with new bumpers and such. Already have a full new interior to go in. Going to keep it looking stock but clean. Not trying to make a show truck, just a good tow vehicle that looks clean and is reliable. I like these old boxy trucks and parts are dirt cheap for them. They're about the easiest thing to work on too.

Here it is as I bought it:

I've seen what the LS engines look like under the hood, TONS of room to spare! Guess someday I'll have to toss a super/turbo charger in the mix!

You could mount a PT106 above the motor and be able to close the stock hood
