my new ride I just got today!!

The oil trail sounds like a poor oil change to me. You did the oil change yesterday and today have the leak... Make sure everything was cleaned up and tight. Could just be it wasn't cleaned up after the oil was changed and just finished drip drying as it sat with you at work.

ok this is Julie now (loves to wrench on stuff)

I dropped the heat shield and laid under it watching where the oil was dripping from ( the trans pan had a nice hole in it the size of a bb)

so I just got done dropping the trans pan and found a nice piece of a clutch I think stuck to the magnet in the trans pan that probably belongs up in my trans somewhere ( it shifted just fine though)

so tommorrow I am going up to get a new trans pan, filter, fluid and gasket and I will be back on the road in no time!

wow did I get greasy and Mark thinks thats HOT

lol

omg...

I had a 98 Jeep GC 5.9 Limited model and it was a BEAST, BUT was also a beast at the gas pump. Smaller than yours though, I think it got 13 14ish

My wife has an 02' Durango R/T Red NO badges,K&N CAI, Jet Module,Gibson headers, flowmaster cat-back and it takes me a quarter tank to drive to and from work!! A little over 10.2 Mpg and it can only use premium :(

I didn't buy this for the mileage but for the ability to take the girls places in comfort.

I have a mustang (V6) thats great on gas.

I got 25 mpg going downhill on the way to work yesterday! LOL
in the R/T

then going up the hill on the other side it went down to 12 mpg.

and you can re program the thing to burn regular gas too. I might be doing that in the future just not on the top of my list rightnow.

I wished Marks Rumble Bee's exhaust sounded as good as this!

wow I love it. thats all. It was cheap and it looks great who cares if I only get 10 mpg in it?

lol

Those 46RE transmissions are rough.

Make sure you adjust the bands ever 60k and if it starts to shift funny replace the governor pressure solenoid and transducer before you do any real damage.

trying to find a diagram of every part up inside the trans because I need to know what this is that was stuck to the magnet in the pan.
we will do a complete rebuild when its due but it was shifting great without any problems.

It made a "clunk" noise going into reverse which means a U joint is going and thats not a bad job either really..

Im sure the previous owner just drove it and did the regular oil changes and thats it.

the wiper blades looked original even..

lmao
The exhaust pipe is in pretty bad shape too so thats on the list
