I had a 2002 RT just like that.
It was a PIG, about 11.5mpg of premium. I put regular in it a couple times and it ran like shit.
suggestion: only keep the R/T emblems on the doors, remove the "V8" badge's and everything on the liftgate, except for an R/T that you need to go buy. Also, your going to need to buy another R/T for the driverside door, since it will look funny being in the middle of the door once you remove the "Durango".. and tint the windows to match the rears.

Best thing I ever did to mine.
Even better now that you can get the R/T badges from the newer chargers/challengers. Look better imo.
I picked up a couple but haven't changed them yet.
About the fuel, what is the octane rating and ethanol % in Michigan?
I have no problem running my 02 on regular and have found no advantage to running premium.
I even modified my crank sensor to fool the computer for more timing and have yet to hear it detonate.
Only time it ever did was when I was playing around with one of those programmers.

we needed something to haul the girls around in when we go places.
The Rumble Bee doesnt have a backseat. lol
I still have the Mustang but my son is borrowing it rightnow so if you see it around Port Huron thats why. (the stang that is)
good thing we ride together to work and its 12 miles to work one way.
so about 10 bucks a day to work.

we had the oil changed today and everything greased too.
the pan shield was loaded with sand so someone had fun with it for sure before they sold it.
