I too can play a ton of Metallica tunes from Seek and destroy, Master of puppets, One and pretty much everything on there Enter Sandman CD. They were a big influence on me back in the late 80's and 90's.
The most under rated guitar player is Nuno Bettencourt...the CD PornoGraffitti is unreal!

Wow man that's nice dude. I really would like to buy a stack I have played crate before. I don't have 500 bucks at one time. I am only making 150 bucks a month so I would have to check out the amp and then if I liked it then save up for it.
 
Very true, except people who play bass. I know two guys who I used to jam with and they where bass players and they rocked at guitar hero
 
Your way too good to be using a Epiphone! You need a Gibson SG, or maybe a BC Rich!

BTW...I suck at Guitar Hero too. Its messed up because I want to strum the guitar how the song is really played in real life. I guess playing guitar for many years conditions your hands like that. :lol: I get pissed and usually bitch about how the game isnt real enough for me!

Reminds me a little of me when I was about your age... I wish I had the time to screw around on the guitar like I used to. I guess the difference is that I decided to learn the theory behind the solos rather than the solos :P ... And any time I decided to start learning a note-for-note solo, I'd get board and stop. So, after playing for 12 years now; I only know maybe two or three songs start to finish LOL. Lately, most of what I've been doing is finger style classical and texas blues. Not that I'm any good.

yeah that is hard stuff. I am not good at all. Like the vid says it is not that good. I found numerous spots in that video where I fucked up or could have chosen a better note.

Yeah, those spots are pretty obvious to anybody who is musically inclined... but when just kinda winging it for a little youtube; it doesn't matter one ounce. If you practice 7 hours a day, it's unacceptable... but for the rest of us it's pretty enjoyable!

I've got 5 guitars... and only two are usable, sadly. My favorite is in some TLC; a franken-Strat like few out there. Scalloped neck, a hot rail with some interesting wiring, 67 re-issue bridge; and tex-mex tuning nuts... It needs to be re-dialed in, re-fretted, and rewired.
