My GT500 rollin' on stockers again...kinda

I've had my Centerlines with DR's on last year and they worked well. Over the winter I got a smokin' deal from BuyFordRacing on a set of genuine 2010 GT500 18" convertible wheels. Paid $549 for a set of 4! Free shipping! I had to do it so I could slap on some new drag radials and appear stock. I special ordered these M&H 275's and so far they are hooking GREAT. True to M&H DR's they run a little skinny and look as wide as the 255's up front but they have real good grip. I'm hoping to truly test them at the track some time this summer.

For now, they are just great to roll around on.

nice, lets see a before pic with the centerlines, probaly a little less intimidating with those wheels on it now but where did the stock ones go? or did you buy it with the centerlines

I knew someone would ask to see the Centerlines.LOL I've posted before but here goes again. And I still have the 19" stockers. They are stacked in the garage with a multitude of other wheels and tires.

Yeah, any reason you went narrower than stock?

Stock GT500 tires are rather tall at 27". My two choices for tall 18" drag radials was the MT 304/45-18 which is a big 28.8" and likes a 10.5 to 11.5" wheel (those are on the Centerlines) and these M&H's, which are a true 28" and fit well on the 9.5" wheel. I would really have to widen these stockers in order to fit the MT better.

Nice car. I like the color a lot! Loose those centerlines... They look too cheap for that car.

I take it you sold your stock 19s? I prefer the look of those over the 18s all day.

No, I have the 19's. There are no 19" drag radials(yet). Needed 18's to get stickies and clear the brakes. I can throw those old 19's on any time I yearn for spinning through 3rd gear. Lol

These new tires don't do that. Grab and go baby!

I should have bought CCW's or similar. Special order from Centerline was a complete pain in the ass and took way too long and was all goofed up. They suck and I'm a pretty easy customer. I'll not do that again.

Ever consider selling the 19s?
