So my g/f was on her way to work this morning and she hit a 8pt BUCK in her 97 Ford Taurus. It was 6:30a.m and she said that she never saw it! She had just had new brakes/rotors/calipers and everything put on it monday and now the car is totaled. It crushed her windshield but she wasnt hurt. THANK GOD.

I feel really bad for her b/c she has really bad luck with cars. She has put well over 6 grand in the car including the price of it and shes only going to get about $2500. She had a new transmission put into it about 3 or 4 months ago. But I'm just thankful she was ok. Shes looking to get a used car from a dealership within the next few weeks! so shes excited. Shes making great money now and she deserves to drive a nice SAFE car that has a remaining factory warranty!

She said that the cop checked to see if she was ok and then asked if she wanted the deer b/c if not he had some buddies who wanted it. And 2 hours later it was gone LOL.

If there are any car salesman on here let me know what used cars you have. Shes looking for a car (no cavaliers) or a small suv. Don't know price range but i don't think over $15,000 but let me know what you guys have. I will be up in a week:rockwoot: And if she hasnt bought anything by then I will be taking her to check out cars. Just PM me what you have. She IS ONLY BUYING FROM A DEALERSHIP. Her words lol
thanks

PM 91 Trunk, he is a Ford salesman at Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor. I believe you mentioned you would be living in the Farmington Hills, Novi area. He is only about a half hour drive from there.

shit if you got receipts the will add that to your total if there not to old they dont ass labor into anything though.

you could try parting her car out to get some of her money back :dontknow:

sucks about the car but at least she is ok

Shes just going to let insurance get it and i'm sure a junkyard will part it out. Its a BRAND NEW trans with less that 3 thousand miles. I will let you know where they take it to. We know the insurance agent so he will let us know i'm sure

I don't know much about the ford motors (sedans anyways). Is that the motor in a regular taurus. Hers isn't a SHO or w/e. Its just the regular sedan v6

If the insurance takes it, It will probably go to a salvage auction "dealer only" then a junk yard/salvage yard will buy it. Then part it out.

Check and see if insurance will give her more because of the work done to it. Not the same example, but when my wife's 95 Civic was stolen, we were able to give them examples of cars with similar miles that were selling for $1000 more than they offered, and we also gave them some receipts for new tires and brakes. I think you haggle with the insurance company to some extent, we were able to get another $1000 or so.
