That is a REAL 66 SS Chevelle body and hood. I was excited when I found the entire SS and paid about $200 for it.
The race car was already built and paid about $2500 for it.
I worked at Gratiot Auto at the time

The 64 I bought from my Father in 1969 for $200 with 74,000 miles on it. My father bought it new in Oct 63 for about $2600
The 72 Z I bought in 1973 and paid $2500 for it.. It had less than 10,000 miles on it.
