My Dad passed away last night.....

My Dad had a massive heart attack while sleeping in the truck, he was not driving, my wife was driving to pick me up from the my usual early scouting for deer and he died in my arms. I tried several times to revive him. The ems met us on the main road and said that he probably would not have made it even if he had made it to the hospital immediately. Some of you met him, he was passionate about cars and loved going to the NO E/T events at Milan.

R.I.P Pops, I will never go a day without thinking about you. I am glad that I had you as a father, thank you for everything you have brought to my life because without you I would not be who or what I am today. :icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad::icon_sad:

Like I said in the PM, very sorry to hear this.

I am sure he was a great person and a father. May he rest in peace.

Man that's got my eyes a little itchy just reading what you wrote :( I'm terribly sorry about your loss. I hope it was in some way, at least a little comforting to him knowing you were there, and that he was in your arms when it was over. RIP

Thanks, it is a tough time right now. I have so much running through my head, knowing there is nothing I could have or can do to change the outcome. Our family has decided to cremate him and have a memorial next weekend. I lost my Dad/best friend and my job in the same week makes me believe I have a black cloud surrounding me. Not sure how I am going to make it all work but I will find a way, somehow.

It has been 24 hrs almost to the minute, I am going to have a fire, a couple beers and have his empty chair with one sitting in it wishing he was still here with us. Part of my grieving process, what a tough thing to deal with. I now know how everyone that has lost a parent feels, miserable doesn't describe it well enough.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, at least he had you, his son and friend there in the end.

My prayers go out to you and your family!

Man... I have spoke to my dad since March... makes one wonder.
