My cars lights will not turn off...

Plain and simple, my 03 mustangs running lights and rear tail lights will not turn off even when the handle is pushed all the way in. Does anyone have a clue why they wouldn't turn off? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated because i need my car for work tomorrow.

Is it possibly a switch gone bad?

Dont know. Disconnect the battery or pull the fuse that controlls it til you can get it looked at so your battery doesnt die

I have forgoten if the head lights are on the turn signal stalk? If so the multifunction switch is probably bad

That could be it. Those go bad in fords all the time

It's not on the turn signal stalk, its to the left of the gauge cluster. Any suggestions where to get my car looked at?? I want to avoid the dealer, would any local auto shop have a solution?

Any Belle Tire should be able to diagnose/fix it.

Do you have auto lamp? If so, do you have it turned to the auto lamp setting?

No my lights are completely manual, i pull the switch out once for the running lights, and twice for the headlights. When I push the knob all the way in, the running lights are still on...

sounds just like a bad switch. they can't cost much.

If you don't have auto lamps then its prob just the switch, If you do could be switch or G.E.M module.
