My Alligator Encounter!

While i was walking through a state park in South Carolina...

I just happened to stumble upon this bad lad. I was about 4 feet from him while he was still in the mud, then once he kinda started eying me and climbing up the rock..i backed off a bit..haha..

Just pretty crazy seeing them in their natural habitat....not in a zoo....

Nahhh...im mostly bone! No fat..no meat...haha

Oh and im guessing he crossed the road to get to water. Where he was with tide changing it was mostly turning to mud, across the road was all still water...
 
my parents used to have a condo on hilton head and we would see tons of those bastards when we were golfing. kind scarry once you get that close to them.

Ha Ha!! I was in Charelston visiting my sister acouple of years ago. woke up one morning to Lauren franticly calling animal control to get the gator out of her pool. LOL!!!!
 
i always wanted to see an aligator in the wild. the few times i was in florida i would look for them and never got to see one.

I was in Huntington Beach State Park, SC. Its about 20 miles south of Myrtle Beach, about 60 miles north of Charleston. Had a nice board walk...some good camping spots...and this marsh...with gators...haha

While i was in Florida the many times ive been there ive seen alligators in ditches where you just seen their eyes poking out of the water.

When we first entered this state park and drove down this street that separated the marsh, i saw a gator poking its eyes out of the water and i thought it was neat and all i would prolly see. As i parked, then started walking down to go find that alligator poking its eyes out....i stumbled upon this bad boy walking around, climbing rocks, and crossing streets....haha..I NEVER thought id ever see that! EVER!

the last time i went to florida i went golfin with my brother and there was a gator that lived in one of the ponds. i had to play my ball about 20 ft from where he was tanning
