Finally got a couple pics of the hood decal installed. It looked naked without it. (and yes I am aware of the paint chip on the drivers side belt molding by the parking light ;) )

I was gonna have a custom one made for my orange car, but instead of "GT", it was gonna say "OJ".

Maybe Ill do it on the current car..

Nice Job! Does the car run?

Thanks and yeah it runs. I got a stock 92 motor from cobratom. We took it out and ran bottom 13s

hell yah i wanna put a gray one on mine

oddly enough the special grey color you need for a black car is like 10-20 bucks more than the black one. With a cowl hood I would just buy teh stencil and have it painted on.

That would be cool, you could use the stencil also and maybe have a sign shop help you with the letters.

X2 been looking at the gray one. Who can put one on ?

I did it myself, its not hard but it requires a little paitence. I just wet it down with the water/dishsoap and used a windshield wiper as a squeege. Make sure the hood is clean, clean, clean or you will ahve bubbles that wont go away. I had bubbles for two weeks but they did go away.

looks good, when the guy did mine he dropped his tape measure on it and chip my paint.

that sucks, my chip came from a misplaced jack handle when I swapped motors.

Thanks guys. Its been on there for a while now. I just got around to posting pictures.

and nice pic DSD ;)

Hey daveg. That looks excellent!! And love the overall stock look of your car. I am in the process of removing my old hood decal right now. I say "process" because that bugger isn't coming off easy. I am about half way done removing it. Who did you get your decal from? I have found several different sources and want to get as close to OEM as I can. I have a white/black 86' GT Convertable that I bought brand new off the showroom floor back in March 1986. My car has been sitting in my garage unregistered since 2003 and still starts/runs like it did the day I bought it.

Thanks. I was trying to keep it as stock appearing as posible (since it mostly is) Use heat to remove it. There will be some stuff left behind that will come off using adhesive remover. This one came with the car, but It said latemodel restoration all over it. Sounds like a cool project you have there. How about a project thread or some pictures.

Yup, Dave has a good tip. Use a heat gun, not a hair dryer. My tip is, since its a large sticker, score it with a razor blade before you take it off. That way, it comes up in sections rather than you working against the sticker itself.

looks sweet! i have one just like it!
