My 1st time in Las Vegas

Funny, I was going to post this on Xceed then I realized the demographics over there...

Anyways, I am headed to Las Vegas for my first time at the end of the month. I am staying at Bally's for four nights. I've never been there so I want to know of some cool things to do.

I am not really a gambler and I am going with my girlfriend, so no "Hangover" business.

I've heard that Rand Couture's MMA studio is pretty cool and I am going to stop at Hart and Huntington because I love tattoo's and everything to do with extreme sports.

I also know that Saturday we are eating somewhere fancy and going to a Chris Angel show.

What else do you guys recommend? Also is $1,000 enough to take for four nights?

$1000 will be gone in a night if you're not a good gambler. I guess it all depends on what you play. I'd take $2k just in case you need it.
 
Eat at Mix at the top of theHotel. Best view in Vegas is the Foundation Room, but you gotta find a way to get in.
 
i think hart and huntington split and its just huntington at the palms now. while at the palms you should check out ghostbar. the drinks $$$ but the balcony views of the strip are awesome!. try to find where all of the free shuttles are to save cab fare and walking, i know one goes from bills gambling hall? to gold coast across from the palms. ballys has a monorail stop too so get a monorail pass for easy casino hopping

when i do that im always surrounded by old people that win while i lose:lmao:

sports betting is a cheap fun way to pass time too. bet $10-20 and watch a game for a few hours

you dont even need to wager just act like you are filling the slip out, oh TIP the waitress 2 drinks 5 bucks in the keno, second round will be better :hugegrin:
 
$250 a day is not enough for Vegas....By the time you buy Breakfast, lunch, dinners, souvenirs, >TAXI'S<, site seeing, gambling...You'll blow though that cash fast.
 
I would skip the Criss Angel show if I were you. It has 100% TERRIBLE reviews. I was booked to see it last time I was there and I cancelled it. Go see the Blue Man Group at the Venetian, any of the Cirque de Soleil shows, anything but that one.

There is an awesome restaurant in the Mirage that serves Brazillian Steak on a stick, they bring it to your table. Can't remember the name of it but it wasn't a bad meal at all for the price. BAlly's has a nice Steakhouse in it as well. Pricey but awesome food. Can't remember the name of that one either. Your location is prime, expect to do a lot of walking. We like to walk the strip and check out the sites a people watch. We don't gamble either. The fountain shows at the Bellagio are cool, and there is no shortage of things to do while you['re there.

We went to the Madame Toussaauds wax museum one day. That was fun but I thought for the money it was a little pricey fro what you really got.

Lots of stars walking around there as well. Have fun.
 
You will have a blast. $1,000 is enough for 4 days and nights. You will spend a lot on food and drinks and fun. $1,000 is even enough to gamble if you're smart.

Me....I spend $20-$40 per day on the roulette table. I gamble on the $2.00 or $5.00 per hand tables. Hooters, Bally's, O'sheas, have those kind of tables. I'm not a high roller. I couldn't afford 15-20-25 per hand bets. I'd lose my ass.

Out of the 4 times I've been to Vegas, I only took a cab twice. We walked everywhere. It doesn't take that long.

Ya gotta bet big to win big! When im on a roll i'll throw down $50-$100 a hand on blackjack but that's what you gotta do when the cards are hot!
