muffler question

I want to put a flowmaster or something comperable on my truck for a little more sound. Its just a chevy rcsb with a 4.8 that still has cats on it. Anyone have any recommendations? I just dont want it to sound like a mud bogger straight piped. Thanks.

I had a Borla catback on my 5.3 ecsb and it seems it was exactly what you're looking for, a little more sound without disturbing the peace and you could still hear yourself think inside of the cab. Very high quality kit too. Check out ebay for them, I found mine NIB for just over $300 shipped a few years back.

Magnaflow

I did a 3" Magnaflow on my suburban with 5.3 and it has a very slight rumble at idle and a nice clean roar on acceleration. Inside the truck the resonance is low.
