motor oil

i have a vt engines sb in my 2001 mustang and ive only got bout 2000 miles on it and i wanna change oil for the new season and im not sure what oil to use. do i use full synthetic or non? its bored over with cams, etc. has canton 7qt pan as well

Mobil 1 0w30 and you will be set... Make sure you use a Mobil 1 filter or a high quality filter like Wix....

Your clearanaces should determine what oil to use. I would stay away from running any of the lightweight synthetics, unless you are ultimately worried about losing a couple HP.

He probably told you to use a dino oil for break in. Since your motor has 2000 miles, you should be fine switching to a 5W30 synthetic.
