Is that usually the big issue with high comp and boost? Lifting the heads and head gaskets? Plan on using as many strong peices as I can.

Now I'm also wondering how much more boost can you run going down a half point of compression. 9.5?

And how much less power will I make n/a from 10 to 9.5?

Is there like a formula or something to depict this?

Comp and cam specs play a large role for how it'll perform na vs fi.

It'll be a dog if it's meant for boost and you run it na. Adjusting dynamic and static timing (cam degreeing, rock arm adjusting/ratio, electronic ignition parameters) can reduce the impacts, but the associated costs might negate it when you could just go right to your end goal upfront with that expense.
 
There is no real answer on what will happen with boost/compression/power limits because the camshaft has such a big affect on everything. The cam specs can hold in or bleed off compression. Tuning fuel and timing curves work around what fuel you are using. How hot everything is getting.. compression heats the fuel, boost heats it more, are you cooling it somehow.

I thought N/A power increased about 5% per point of compression. Maybe that was some car craft type knowledge. ..

My comp is almost 10.5-1 and I run 20lbs on 110 non intercooled no problems. Sbf 8.2 deck trickflow heads ysi blower. My buddy's race car is same compression with a procharger f1r non innercooled and it makes almost 30lbs on c16 fuel. Usually makes 30 passes before it needs head gaskits. Give Mike a call at Mcrp and he can set you up with a correct cam on what u plan to do.
