More Eco-Boost Towing

I agree whole-heartedly. I've wanted an F150 since I was little.

Now I want to see an Ecoboost swapped '93 lightning. :drool2:

I definitely learned that with my Lightning. Gas mileage with a truck drops FAST as speed increases. I somehow got in this fucked up traffic once that continually had me stuck at 55 on the interstate for nearly a full tank of gas worth of driving. I got 17.5 out of that tank with the Lightning. Normal 70-75 was 15.5. 90 was 13.

Damn it, should have refreshed before posting in the thread that I opened an hour and half ago before posting in it.

It's true, the way you drive makes a difference.

I managed 27.5 down I75 to Cincinnati in this car, with the bike on the roof....

I stayed about 15' off the tailgate of a semi truck the entire way. Fuck was it slow, but I usually got 22/23 in that car daily driving it. Was a 2.5 inline 6 and 5 speed.

are you sure that dodge hasnt been repainted? factory red is normally the worst for orange peel. that doesnt look bad.
the running boards are dealer installed. they probaby didnt get the nutserts tight.
where does the windshied moulding end? right at top of glass or like 10 inches back?
there are some things odd with that truck

Drag (wind resistance) is the biggest factor in fuel economy at anything over about 50-ish mph...and I believe it's an exponential quantity. I can't remember the formulas anymore, but all the other parasitic losses are quite small in comparison at elevated speeds. I'm sure there's a fuel economy guru who can speak to it in more detail than myself, but you get the idea.

With my EB, if I go from 62mph to 72mph on the highway, my economy goes from 20.5+, down to 18-ish with mine.

And given that trucks punch such a big hole in the air, it's little surprise they're so greatly affected.

The only odd things I noticed were the seats aren't torn and the wheel wells on the bed aren't rotted.

I'm fairly certain it had zero miles on it when he got it.
It's probably because the lens on my iPhone camera is scratched to shit.
